Sayvilo Support

A focused teleprompter for your iPad and iPhone.

Getting started

Choose Prompter, open or create a script, then tap Start. Drag the speed or text-size bar, or tap its − / + buttons. Speed 0 stops the scroll; Pause stops playback immediately. Tap the screen to bring back the controls.

Why is the text mirrored or upside down?

The default full-screen orientation is made for a physical teleprompter glass setup. Open Prompter Settings → Full Screen Mirroring and choose Off, then turn off Rotate Full Screen Text 180° for ordinary reading. Controls and the remote preview always stay upright.

Connect your iPhone

On iPad, open Device Connection and tap Start Connection. On iPhone, choose Remote and Find iPad. Select the iPad and enter the six-digit code. Allow Bluetooth on both devices and accept any system pairing prompt. Keep Sayvilo visible on iPad and both devices nearby. Once connected, your iPhone can stay in the background. Previously paired devices can reconnect without another code.

If connecting fails, enable Bluetooth in Settings, keep the devices nearby and restart the connection in Sayvilo. Forget Pairing lets you pair again with the current code.

Apple Watch remote

Install Sayvilo on your paired Apple Watch (watchOS 9 or later). Open Sayvilo on iPhone, choose Remote and connect to iPad first. Then open Sayvilo on Watch to play, pause, scroll, adjust speed or text size, or return to the beginning. Watch commands travel through your iPhone; Watch does not connect directly to iPad. Keep the devices nearby and Sayvilo visible on iPad. The iPhone app can stay in the background after connecting.

If Watch says it is waiting for iPad, reopen Sayvilo on iPhone and check its connection. If iOS terminates the app or you force-quit it, reopen it to reconnect. A lost connection disables Watch controls; old commands are not replayed later.

Watch can control the free sample-script remote demo. Pro on iPad unlocks controls for your own scripts, with no separate Watch purchase.

Free and Pro

Free includes three custom scripts of up to 500 words each, all reading settings and a sample-script remote demo. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited script count, longer scripts (100 KB each), and full remote control for your own scripts. A paired iPhone is included with Pro on your iPad; it does not need a separate purchase.

Restore Pro

Open the Free / Pro panel and choose Restore Purchase. Use the Apple Account that purchased Pro. If the App Store cannot be reached, you can keep using Free and try later.

Importing scripts

Import a plain-text .txt file encoded as UTF-8. PDF and Word files are not supported. Copy their text into a new script or export a .txt file first.

Privacy

Your scripts and reading settings are stored on your devices. Bluetooth shares data directly with the paired device. There are no ads or third-party analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details and device-backup considerations.
